Design of a Bézier-Profile Plate for Closely Spaced Multimodal Vibration Energy Harvesting

A cubic Bézier-profile plate for multimodal vibration energy harvesting was developed. The design of the based on an optimization procedure in which profile optimized via parameters a Bézier curve to meet requirements. exploited its first bending mode and twisting mode. conversion into electrical by electromagnetic induction with magnet attached corner plate. These two closely spaced modes achieved multi-modal device. Prototypes device were manufactured using numerical-control machining process. experimental results good agreement specifications. With same base lengths, height, thickness, maximum von Mises stress proposed much lower due bell-shaped profile. chosen effective closely-spaced harvester. flexibility controllable parametric curve, high freedom harvester specified frequency ratios could be achieved.
